I’ve been backpacking since I was a teenager and sleeping pads have continued to evolve. The NEMO Astro Lite is the best sleeping pad that I’ve used to date! For starters, it packs up compactly and it is insulated. That is great, since I mostly do cold weather backpacking. To further reduce travel size and weight, it comes with an ultralight inflation bag that doesn’t add unnecessary weight and bulk. The fact that the pillow area is elevated is great! The elevated pillow area plus insulation and minimal travel size and weight is what sold me on this sleeping pad! Also, I don’t slide around while sleeping. It does make a slight amount of noise if moving around but that did not disturb me while sleeping. Stay tuned for my follow-up reviews but I’ve found it to sleep warm and comfortably! When used in conjunction with a NEMO Fillo Pillow, I sleep as well as I do at home! #NEMO
