This is the best tool that I’ve found for removing matted fur from a cat. It works by painlessly raising the mats of fur from close to the skin, so that the mats can be safely trimmed and removed. Many people attempt to use scissors to remove matted fur and that is not safe. Scissors inadvertently end up cutting the cat’s skin and that’s not fair for the cat.
