I had new exterior-facing doors with windows installed and all doors leaked! This is why doors that contain windows often leak. Assuming that the door is not defective, it may be due to the grids not being properly tightened by the installer. The glass that contains the grids is a separate piece from the door itself. My leaky door situation was different though. I have two French doors and one single door that contain windows. All doors leaked profusely whenever it rained. After being blown off by the door installer, even though the doors were still under warranty, I tracked down the manufacturer of the doors and escalated the situation to their corporate office. After the glass with external grids (grids on top of the glass) being replaced multiple times and still leaking, I downgraded to glass with internal grids (grids inside of the glass) and the doors no longer leaked. I won’t mention the installer’s name or the manufacturers name but it’s quite possible that you may have purchased doors with external grids too and that may be the problem. Doors with internal grids are easier to clean but many people believe that doors with external grids look more expensive. I was disappointed to have to downgrade to doors with internal grids but at least it solved the leaking problem! #Doors #Contractor #Leak #Howto
