Many 2018 MacBook Pros have encountered a crackling audio issue. Mine was intermittent but I found that the the crackling seemed to become more severe, with more CPU usage. I was running macOS High Sierra and attempted several things to resolve the issue but crackling audio kept coming back. The fix for my 2018 MacBook Pro’s crackling audio was to upgrade to macOS Mojave. In my opinion the new MacBook Pro should have not been released until a compatible operating system was also released. I’m glad that I did not send my MacBook Pro in for repair because many people did, only to receive a replacement MacBook Pro that was plagued by the same problem. #CrackleGate #MacBookPro
