The Rode VideoMicro II is an excellent sounding microphone! I used the original VideoMicro for many years and loved it, so the Rode VideoMicro II was a natural upgrade for me! The VideoMicro II does not require a battery, so it’s super convenient to use in conjunction with a camera without having to remember to charge the microphone. The VideoMicro II features and improved shock mount and that is what prompted me to upgrade from my original VideoMicro.
