This is how to update Sony A7R5 firmware. I use a Mac computer and this is how I updated A7RV’s firmware using my Mac. In the past, Sony utilized a Mac desktop application for Sony Alpha camera firmware updates. The new Sony Alpha camera firmware update procedure only utilizes the SD card that is inserted in SLOT 1 of the camera. It’s an improved firmware update procedure but I still encountered minor challenges, while updating A7R5’s firmware. I was able to troubleshoot and resolve A7RV firmware update issues though.
