This is the hike from Clingman's Dome to Andrew's Bald. To get to Andrew's Bald, park in the Clingman's Dome parking lot and hike Forney Ridge Trail. Forney Ridge Trail is very rocky, so you will likely want hiking poles if conditions are icy or wet. Microspikes may be a wise idea too. Please also

The hike to Smoky Mountains Backcountry Campsite #26 was incredible. We parked at Elkmont and then hiked Jake's Creek Trail to Miry Ridge Trail. Elevation gain was 3,114 feet and we camped at approximately 4,600 feet. It was an incredible experience and the hike out was almost all downhill! #Campsite26 #Backpacking #SmokyMountains
The Gatlinburg Summit condos are a great deal! It's in a great location, so both Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountains National Park are close by. They have a laundry room on-site, as well as a pool. We stayed here because we were backpacking and want a place that was both affordable and located close to Smoky
