If Sony A7RV stops recording, this may be the fix. Sometimes I record video with my A7RV using aperture priority mode and I have noticed that A7RV’s video will stop recording intermittently. I have not observed this while recording video with the A7RV in AUTO mode. After performing exhaustive research and confirming that my A7RV’s firmware was up-to-date, I found the fix! Root cause was that the SD card was not able to “catch up,” while recording 4K and 8K video with maximum quality settings. My fix was using a CFExpress Type A card instead. After I made the switch from SD Card to CFExpress Type A card my A7RV’s video recording has not failed. It’s worth mentioning that this is not a situation where A7RV’s video stopped recording due to high temperature. My problem was linked the the SD card being unable to keep up with the A7RV’s video recording quality. #A7RV #A7R5 #SonyAlpha #ILCE7RM5
